Bio
I am a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor and graduate of Drexel University where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Psychology, and a graduate of Messiah College where I completed a Master’s of Arts in School Counseling. I have been practicing as an LPC since 2015 and has been with Growth Opportunity Center ever since.
Previously, I worked in a variety of different settings with children, adolescents, and families including partial psychiatric hospital programs, residential treatment facilities, family based services, and school counseling.
I primarily work with young adults via telehealth. My areas of specialty include anxiety and stress management, depression, ADHD management, trauma, PTSD and Complex PTSD, and adult children of emotionally immature and/or narcissistic parents. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for individuals to process their emotions and thoughts and work through emotional barriers that are preventing change. I have an easy going manner and enjoy listening to people’s narratives and believe therapy is a collaborative process.
In Victoria’s personal life, she is a mother to an active and happy ten year old. She enjoys theater, do-it-yourself projects, scrapbooking, teaching herself how to sew, and re-watching The Office over and over and over again.
Training & Modalities Used
I use skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also trained in trauma informed care & trauma informed CBT, as well as family based therapy. I use talk therapy to explore unhealthy coping patterns, attachment styles, and negative interactional cycles.
