Bio

As a Licensed Clinical Developmental Psychologist, for over 25 years, I have worked with children with a variety of developmental, behavioral and emotional challenges that interfere with their success at home, school and among their peers.  I have developed a niche in working with neurodivergent clients (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Learning Disorders) and children with emotion regulation problems.  When working with children and families, my approach is supportive and practical. I pull from the fields of Family Therapy, Positive Parenting, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to tailor my approach to match the situation and client goals.  I have a background in Early Intervention and welcome the youngest patients up to about age 18.  In addition to individual and family counseling, I develop and run groups for youth and teens to increase their emotional regulation and social competence skills.
