Bio

With an undergraduate education from the State University of NY at Buffalo and graduate schooling from Temple University, I am licensed and trained as a clinical-community psychologist with over 30 years of experience as a therapist, supervisor, advocate, mediator, and facilitator.  We all have our own backgrounds and cultures. Our experiences help us to grow into the persons we become, but they do not define the persons we can be.  Our personal evolution, how we accept and deal with life challenges, our strengths and areas of development are shaped by many variables. Taking the step to enter therapy represents a willingness to better understand life choices, make improvements and increase opportunities for clarity and happiness. Experienced in individual, couples, and family therapy, having conducted groups and lectured/taught, I respect and appreciate that every individual has a voice that deserves to be heard.  I have worked with persons of all ages, ranging from preschoolers to adolescents, and adults through senior members of the community. Whether talking about fears, loss, trying to make difficult life decisions, or embarking on new or changing situations, sometimes it helps to share and work through feelings and thoughts within the warmth of a professional caring environment of understanding.  My approach is eclectic, based on the specific needs and styles of the individuals I work with.  One size does not fit all, but we all should have a place in this world where we can fit in and feel safe, comfortable, and live a hopeful positive life.  The power to heal is within your grasp and I’d like to help you move forward toward the path of your choosing, through the therapeutic process.  Always know that your present situation is not your final destination.
