Dr. Leonidah K. Okemwa is a compassionate and skilled nursing professional with expertise in patient care, communication, and leadership. I hold a Doctorate in Nursing and an MBA from the University of Delaware. I am a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, holding additional certifications in medical-surgical nursing, informatics, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and stroke care. I am affiliated with several professional organizations and currently work as a PMHNP-BC with Growth Opportunity Center.
My career spans diverse roles in patient rehabilitation, geriatric care, adolescent and infant care, and leadership positions at prestigious institutions, including Allied Resources Medical Staffing, the University of Delaware, and Leigh Valley Hospital. I have received numerous accolades, including the Student of Distinction Academic Excellence Award, the Daisy Foundation’s Outstanding Extraordinary Patient Care Nurse Award, and inductions into Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Theta Tau honor societies. I am dedicated to providing empathetic care, balancing professional and personal life, and fostering meaningful connections with patients.

My goal is not only to treat mental health conditions but also to emphasize wellness and self-care by providing people with the information and tools they need to make informed, healthy lifestyle choices and healthcare decisions.
