Bio
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with nearly three decades of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate a variety of mental health challenges. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic techniques in order to support clients in achieving meaningful change and emotional well-being. I have been with Growth Opportunity Center since 2011 and provide therapy to individuals, couples and families. My areas of interest include the assessment and treatment of adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, family and couple issues, life transitions and balance, stress management, and trauma.
Training & Modalities Used
I received my Master’s degree in clinical Social Work from NYU in 1999. Several years later, I returned to school and earned my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College in 2017. I believe that an open, positive therapeutic relationship is central to personal development. I utilize a trauma informed, integrative approach in my work, noting that assessment and treatment must be tailored to each individual, based on their unique needs. I draw from psychodynamic and structural family therapy and frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Additionally, I am a Level II Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician using this as my main approach to helping those who have been affected by trauma. Past professional experiences include working in clinical, administrative and supervisory roles in a variety of outpatient settings.
