Growth Opportunity Center (“GOC”), a long‑trusted provider of mental health and developmental services in Southampton, Bucks County, is proud to announce the launch of its new Attention & Executive Function Coaching Program for youth, teens, and adults. This program offers practical, skills‑based support for individuals who want better tools for managing focus, organization, planning, and follow‑through in their everyday lives. To ensure accessibility for busy families and working adults, sessions are available both in person and via telehealth.

Executive function skills shape how people move through the world — how they plan, organize, start tasks, shift between activities, manage time, and follow through. When these skills aren’t strong, daily life can feel harder than it needs to be. GOC’s new coaching program is designed to meet that need with a warm, supportive, and highly practical approach that helps people build systems that actually work for them.

“Across all ages, we see people working incredibly hard but still feeling stuck,” said Judy Morrissey, Executive Director of Growth Opportunity Center. “Coaching gives them the day‑to‑day strategies they’ve been missing — the kind of tools that make life feel more manageable and less overwhelming. It’s about helping people move from intention to action.”

A Practical, Supportive Approach for All Ages

The Attention & Executive Function Coaching Program focuses on real‑world skills that help people stay organized, manage time, and follow through on tasks that matter to them. Rather than talking about challenges in the abstract, coaching sessions are hands‑on and collaborative. Participants learn strategies they can use immediately, and they practice applying those strategies to their actual routines, responsibilities, and goals.

Core skills addressed in coaching include:

  • Breaking tasks into clear, manageable steps
  • Creating routines that are realistic and sustainable
  • Planning ahead and managing time effectively
  • Organizing materials, spaces, and schedules
  • Reducing overwhelm and building momentum
  • Strengthening independence, confidence, and follow‑through

For youth and teens, coaching supports the demands of school life. Sessions help students keep track of assignments, manage materials, plan long‑term projects, and develop routines that support independence. Coaches work with young people to build habits that reduce stress and help them feel more in control of their schoolwork and daily responsibilities.

For adults, coaching addresses the challenges of balancing work, family responsibilities, deadlines, and the mental load of everyday life. Many adults know what they need to do but struggle to get started or stay organized. Coaching provides structure, accountability, and practical tools that help adults manage competing priorities, reduce chaos, and create systems that support their goals.

“So many people feel like they’re trying their hardest and still falling behind,” Morrissey said. “Coaching bridges that gap by offering straightforward, realistic strategies that fit into real life. That’s where the transformation happens — in the small, consistent changes that build confidence and momentum.”

Multiple Coaching Formats to Meet Different Needs

To ensure flexibility and accessibility, GOC offers the program in three formats:

Individual Coaching

One‑on‑one sessions provide personalized strategies uniquely tailored to each person’s goals, challenges, and daily routines. This format is ideal for individuals who want focused support and customized tools. Coaches work closely with participants to identify what’s getting in the way and to build systems that fit their lifestyle.

Group Coaching

Small groups for youth and adults offer a supportive environment where participants can learn alongside others who understand their experiences. Group coaching provides shared problem‑solving, encouragement, and accountability — benefits that are unique to the group setting. Many participants find it reassuring to hear others say, “I deal with that too.”

One‑Time Workshops

These energizing three‑hour sessions deliver a concentrated boost of strategies and practical tools. Workshops are perfect for individuals who want a jump‑start, a refresher, or a structured space to reset their routines. Participants leave with clear, actionable steps they can implement immediately.

“We designed the program so people can choose the format that fits their life, their budget, and their comfort level,” Morrissey said. “Accessibility matters, and coaching should feel doable, not out of reach.”

A Program Built on Warmth, Clarity, and Real‑World Impact

What sets GOC’s coaching program apart is its tone and approach: warm, relatable, and grounded in everyday application. Coaches avoid jargon and focus on strategies that feel achievable, not overwhelming. The goal is to help people build confidence through small, meaningful steps that add up over time.

“We’ve always believed in meeting people exactly where they are,” Morrissey added. “This program reflects that philosophy. It’s practical, compassionate, and designed to make daily life feel more manageable.”
